Mahogany Foosball Table Review

Not all foosball tables are made equal. Continuing on I will like to introduce you to some of the best foosball tables in this style, and what makes them such.

Gold Standard Games Home Pro Foosball Table

5stars
Rec-tek

Featuring a classic boxy shape of the cabinet the Gold Standard Games’ table is pretty much a standard affair. With it, you can be certain that you are getting a tournament-grade foosball table. Though it isn’t made out of actual mahogany wood, it has a very pleasing mahogany finish. Gold Standard promises that this is a tournament-quality design, and they don’t fail to deliver. Rods are stainless steel but are treated with so-called quench-polish-quench or QPQ treatment. This type of treatment is very unusual for foosball tables and more common for parts and machinery that are exposed to extremely harsh environments, or exposed to metal-on-metal contact with very little lubrication. The design of bearings is very similar to some higher-end products, and rods very smoothly move in them. Black polymer legs might not be to everyone’s taste, but they are very sturdy and have excellent leg-levelers. Overall, this is an excellent table, and if it weren’t for a prominent badge on the side, I would have blind-guessed that this is a Tornado table.

Pros

  • Excellent build quality
  • Overengineered bars have smooth movement

Cons

  • The leg design is not the most appealing

    Tornado Sport Foosball Table

    Sportcraft

Tornado is a premium football table manufacturer, and it shows on their tables. This melamine made table feature a faux-wood mahogany finish. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as the engineered wood has many advantages over natural wood. It requires less care, and will not suffer from warping due to normal changes of humidity in your home. One-inch sides give it quite a bit of sturdiness, and just like the previous table, this one is just a pleasure to play on. Their chrome plated rods are just gliding on excellent bearings, while the counterweighted players allow for 1v1 play. If you leave them in a horizontal position, they will stay there. Beside the table, in the package, you will receive tournament-approved pink foosballs. But also a small bottle of silicone lubricant. You shouldn’t be disappointed by its size. If you use it per instructions it will last you for years.

    Pros

    • Tournament-grade table
    • Excellent build quality and feature set

    Cons

    • The classic boxy shape may not appeal to everyone

      Fairview Game Rooms Foosball Table

      5stars
      Trailblazer

If you are looking for a mahogany foosball table that will fit perfectly in your neo-classic designed game room or study, Fairview Game Rooms’ table will fit perfectly. All wood, with mahogany finish, and elegant Queen Anne-style legs it will be a centerpiece of any room. Its central design feature is a cross-hatch veneer inlay. Which is excellent and elegant, but may not please everyone. While this is a beautiful and excellently built foosball table, it has some flaws. First, the legs don’t have leg levelers. Granted, they would spoil their beauty, but it means that you will have to place it on a perfectly flat and level surface. Second, while rods are excellent and smooth, players are not counterweighted. Playing 1v1 could be awkward, as rods will not stay horizontal. Also, players are made of resin, which many people do not like, and replacing them with some other will void the warranty.

      Pros

      • Beautiful furniture like design
      • Sturdy wood construction

      Cons

      • Players are not counterbalanced
      • No leg levelers
      • The warranty policy is not among the best

        Carmelli Millennium

        Atomic Azure

Carmelli’s Millennium is just simply a stunningly beautiful foosball table. Made of solid birch wood, and decorated with elegant knot-free birch veneer with mahogany finish. Modernistic pedestal-style of legs will make it extremely stable. The reddish-brown mahogany is contrasted with silver-polish of rods and bearing-caps and silver markings of the playing field. The action on this table is very smooth and pleasant, and the players are counterbalanced. Opposed to the previous table, this one has leg levelers. Additionally, all four corners feature cup holders which are very usable. The only flaw of this table, which in essence is not really a characteristic of the table per se, is the extremely short 180-day limited warranty.

        Pros

        • Beautiful design
        • Excellent play experience
        • Leg levelers

        Cons

        • Short warranty period

          Level Best Mahogany Foosball Table

          Atomic Azure

Level Best’s foosball table is just a thing of beauty. One inch thick cabinet made of solid wood is sitting on hand-carved Queen Anne-style legs. It is a table that looks exactly the same as Fairview’s offering. Who is copying who is impossible to determine, but both tables feature an excellent level of build-quality. But, both also suffer from the same flaws that could bother some people. Neither this table has counterbalanced players, nor leg levelers. If you are not looking for features that are necessary for tournament play, this is an excellent foosball table that will give you a ton of fun. Plus it will look beautiful in your room.

          Pros

          • Beautiful furniture like design
          • Sturdy wood construction

          Cons

          • Players are not counterbalanced
          • No leg levelers

If you are looking for a rustic mahogany foosball table, Home Style’s offering is a perfect choice for you. The design looks like it was quickly thrown together from bits and pieces of discarded wood, which has a particular charm. But the closer inspection of details shows it was a thoughtfully designed and carefully built foosball table. The quality of the table is excellent. Stainless steel rods move very smoothly inside the nylon bearings and the uncommon fluted design of handles is surprisingly comfortable. My experience is that the slots on them actually help with perspiration during long play sessions. The only potential flaw of this table is that players are not counterbalanced, so if you spin the rods players will end up upright.

            Cons

                • Players are not counterweighted

            Conclusion

To me, the mahogany finish is something that reminds me of fireplaces surrounded by a couple of plush chesterfields chairs. And mahogany foosball table will bring such a measure of warmth in your study or game room. If you are looking for such an item, my recommendation is Tornado Sport. Tornado is a manufacturer known for tables that are of unprecedented quality and with an exceptionally rich feature set. They are official suppliers of almost all major tournaments and their non-competition tables differ from competition ones only in decals and color of the finish.
