Foosball scoring units review
Whether you need a replacement for a broken one or a different looking part, below you will find short reviews of some of the best items available on the market. I hope that this article will help you find that one which is perfect for your table.
LIOOBO 2PCS Foosball Score Counter

LIOOBO is not a big name in the world of foosball, but if you are tired of the abacus style their foosball scoring unit may be a perfect choice for you. Featuring a numbered slider with a bright red marker that can be moved along its length, it is a distinctively different design. Numbers go from 0 to 9 and are embossed and painted white, so even if the color fades away you can easily repaint them. It is made of sturdy plastic, but not the sturdiest one. I never had any issues with it, but some people do report that it can break if you use it a bit more energetically.
Pros
- Different design
- Easy to read
- Embossed numbers
Cons
- Some owners report issues with sturdiness
Tornado Foosball Table Score Assembly

Tornado is one of the biggest names among the foosball table manufacturers and their foosball score tracker is as high quality as their tables. It comes in the classic abacus style, featuring two sets of black and unpainted score beads. And these beads could be a stumbling point for some people. There are just five of them of each color, which could be an insufficient number for many people. If you are looking for a straight replacement for your Tornado manufactured foosball table, these are not a wrong choice. But, as an upgrade, these probably are not the best option for this reason.
Pros
- Easy to install
- Classic design
- High quality
Cons
- Only five beads
- Not the most affordable
Billiard Evolution Set of 2 Foosball Scoring Units

Billiard Evolution’s offer is a different take on the foosball scoring from the classic abacus style. Similarly to the abacus, it does have a shaft along which pieces are moved, but in this case, they are triangular instead of circular. Individual beads have raised ridges on the backside, which makes them very easy to slide from side to side with your fingertips. They are numbered from 1 to 10 but are just printed on. While the color is a long-lasting one, once it gets damaged it might be a problem to repaint for many people. Another strong point of this unit is that it is installed using four screws. This makes it extremely securely fit to the table, but for some odd reason, screws are not provided with it.
Pros
- Easy to install
- Easy to use
- Design
Cons
- Screws not provided
- Numbers are not embossed
Alomejor 2pcs Table Football Counter

Alomejor’s product is another take on the abacus style foosball table scoreboard. But the beads are neither round nor triangular. Instead, they are cube-shaped. This style may not be to everyone’s taste, but otherwise, this is a very good product. The slider on which beads are mounted looks a bit flimsy, but you shouldn’t judge it by its looks. It is surprisingly sturdy. Beads are numbered from 1 to 10, and numbers are printed on them. While I personally don’t like it when numbers are not embossed, you can trust me that their paint is very resilient. A friend of mine has it, and after more than a year of heavy use, the paint is still as good as new.
Pros
- Easy to install
- Easy to use
- Design
Cons
- Numbers are not embossed
LIOOBO 2pcs Scoring Unit

This is another product by LIOOBO, but a distinctively a different one. It is another take on the abacus style and features beads that are trapezoid-shaped. Beads have slight recesses on both sides, while numbers are printed on top. These recesses make them very easy to slide back and forth. They mount on the table with two screws each, which unfortunately are not provided. The end pieces are wider than it is common among this type of score units, which makes them very stable once installed.
Pros
- Easy to install
- Easy to use
- Design
- Oversized end pieces
Cons
- Numbers are not embossed
- Screws not provided
Inertia Sports Classic Shuffleboard Score Keeper

While Inertia Sport’s product is not specifically made for foosball, it could be a unit you should consider if upgrading or replacing your existing one. It is the abacus style scorekeeper, with circular beads made out of wood which might not be to your liking. They come as two sets of black and natural colors, and every fifth is of contrasting color. This makes them very easy to read, even though they are not numbered. The advantage of it, especially for non-competitive play is that there are 21 beads on each of the rods. If you are looking for a more standard number of beads, this advantage is actually a drawback in your case.
Pros
- Easy to install
- Easy to use
- Classic design
- 21 beads
Cons
- 21 beads
- Classic design
Conclusion
Keeping track of the score is one of the important aspects of any game. Foosball tables come with dedicated foosball scoring units for such purpose. But like with any other part of anything which is used by hands, they can be broken and in need of replacement. But also the style of ones that came with your table might not be to your liking. This where the aftermarket parts come into play. If you can’t decide which of these is best for you, my recommendation is the Billiard Evolution Set. It is an excellent unit featuring an interesting design that makes its use easier.
